On this occasion, the AlterMater association will be launched, which aims to propose original solutions, alternatives to a classic and usual vision of birth policy and the organization of maternity hospitals, by relying on the analysis of experts, political and associative actors, and citizens. It seems necessary for the promoters of AlterMater to devise proposals that could mitigate or erase the negative impacts of maternity hospital closures.
