Thirty-second episode: April 2018. <\/p>\n<h2>A Call for a \u201cGentle\u201d C-section<\/h2>\n<p>One in five births, the baby is born via C-section. However, this surgical procedure, well-known to the general public, has a bad reputation. Often a difficult experience for women when it is imposed as an emergency, the C-section is also a source of frustration for expectant mothers who request it before delivery, as doctors generally prefer to dissuade them. \u201c<em>I was separated from my partner, [\u2026] I felt the doctors&#8217; hands in my belly, [\u2026] and most importantly, I wasn&#8217;t allowed to hold my baby in my arms<\/em>,\u201d a woman recounts in the article. Conversely, another testifies to her difficulties giving birth via C-section rather than vaginally. \u201c<em>I felt I was being judged, that they thought I was a \u201cwimp\u201d.
